Menz is back in a biscuit, pairing up with Emmaline’s Country Kitchen to create a FruChocs Chocolate Biscuit.

Adding to the deliciousness is the fact that both of these businesses are family owned and operated.

Robern Menz CEO Phil Sims said the company had wanted to re-enter the biscuit scene for quite some time.

“Emmaline’s Country Kitchen are a great South Australian business, with a focus on quality products, so they were an excellent fit for us as we looked to re-expand the Menz range to include biscuits,” he said.

Emmaline’s Country Kitchen is a household name in its own right with products stocked in more than 1500 outlets Australia-wide. Based in the historic Woollen Mills in Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills, their delicious range of hand made cakes, biscuits and slices have an emphasis on real and fresh ingredients.

Simon Horwood, Marketing Manager at Emmaline’s Country Kitchen, said it was the company’s reputation for good quality biscuits that led to the collaboration with Menz.

“Our distinct point of difference is our focus on traditional recipes – like they are really made at home,” said Simon.

“I originally wanted to make a cake but Phil suggested the biscuits… and the flavour of FruChocs really complemented the chocolate.”

The partnership comes after Menz and Nippy’s teamed up to create Nippy’s FruChoc Milk in December.

“We’ve had several successful partnerships with great South Australian brands previously and not only do these relationships help strengthen the local market and set us apart from other multi-national competitors, but these pairings also result in hugely popular products that our local customers love,” said Phil.


And the proof is certainly in the pudding, with Robern Menz awarded the Tasting Australia Consumer Award at the 2015 South Australian Food Industry Awards on Friday 20 November.

For Phil and the team the accolade was extra special because it was a public vote.

“Listening and engaging with our community has always been one of our core values and customer feedback is fed into pretty much every decision we make,” said Phil.

“To have the appreciation reciprocated is humbling to say the least.”

The Emmaline’s Fruchocs Biscuits have arrived just in time for Christmas and will be available at The FruChocs Shop’s from December 1, and at other selected retailers by mid-December.
