Iconic South Australian brand MOO Premium Foods has turned 10! MOO has been supplying premium yoghurt since the company launched in 2005.
Under the helm of Mick and Sally Sanders MOO has grown to become a major South Australian manufacturer, with plans to distribute nationally and internationally within the next few years.
Founder and Managing Director Mick Sanders said the 10-year milestone was a fantastic achievement for the organisation, whose policy has always been to source the best natural ingredients from South Australian suppliers.
“We are big supporters of buying local, and have worked exceptionally hard to create great products and a strong brand.
“It’s hard to believe this is the tenth year of the business! We are looking forward to creating great new products and distributing MOO interstate and even overseas- it would be really exciting to see MOO being enjoyed all over Australia and beyond.”
Launched in 2005, Mick said the inspiration behind MOO came from a trip to France with wife Sally, where they discovered high-quality yoghurt in little glass jars.
“The yoghurt was like nothing we were used to at home, and so the idea of making a similar product for the Australian market and the inception of MOO was born.”
Within 18 months they had eight shops and 70 staff, but as supply to supermarkets and other retailers took off, they decided to concentrate on the production and manufacturing model for the business.
MOO Premium Foods is now stocked in over 300 supermarkets, independent retailers, schools, cafes and hotels across the state, including their Premium Yoghurts, Everyday Yoghurts, Dahi Indian-Style Yoghurt and Rice Pudding.
