After a three-year hiatus, Adelaide’s very own CheeseFest is set to return this October, and this time, it’s partnering with FERMENT the FESTIVAL to bring you all things fermentable.

It’s almost to gouda to be true (we had to do that).

Running from October 27-28 the combined CheeseFest+FERMENT will coincide with I Choose SA Day on the 27th, making it the perfect cheesy combination to celebrate all things South Australian!

I Choose SA Day is all about celebrating the great things SA has to offer, so it’s a great opportunity to shop local and try some of our amazing local produce.

Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to eat that extra SA made cheese toastie.

Speaking of toasties, make sure to vote for your favourite I Choose SA Cheese Toastie here for your chance to win tickets to CheeseFest+FERMENT the FESTIVAL, plus more! Voting for this cheesy goodness closes on October 9, 2018.

The winning toastie will be crowned the I Choose SA Cheese Toastie and will be available in all its cheesy glory at CheeseFest+FERMENT.

Packed with SA produce, activities, live demonstrations, and of course, cheese- CheeseFest+FERMENT be the place to be on I Choose SA Day.

FERMENT the FESTIVAL

The festival will also introduce a French Quarter for the very first time in the event history, a space to indulge in French cheese, charcuterie and French champagne.

Joining the line-up alongside some of SA’s finest food producers is a record number of cheese producers, all set to serve up tasty, fermentable goodness throughout the weekend.

Kimchi, raclette, chocolate, cheese… there’s a whole world of fermented food and drink to explore, taste, and eat your way through.

On the demonstration stage is a celebrity cooking line-up including MasterChef judge Matt Preston, revered SA chef Simon Bryant and local MasterChef alumni Jessie Spiby and Callum Hann.

Karena Armstrong from the Salopian Inn, The Fermentary’s Sharon Flynn and Level One Electra House new chef Josh Kim will also join the demonstration stage.

The festival will brim with treats from local SA restaurants and food producers, with Salopian Inn, Level One, Electra House, Lost Loaf, The Kings Head, Hereford Beefstouw and Ballaboosta serving up delicious food all weekend.

Cheese cravings fully satisfied? Refresh your palate at one of the local SA beverage stalls, Adelaide MINI Garage Aperol Spritz bar, 23rd Street Distillery and G+T Bar are all set to make appearances.
