The East End establishment is ideal for groups of six or more, serving up a ‘tuk tuk’ Thai share menu where with your waiter selecting 4-5 courses based on the guidelines and dietary requirements of the table. All you need to bring: your mates and your appetite.
2 King William St, Adelaide
For smaller get togethers, it’s hard to top 2KW’s intimate LA-style cabanas. Private and seating up to 10, with a menu just made for sharing, it’s an ideal choice for close friends or smaller workplaces.
27 Unley Rd, Parkside
Few things beat a rooftop bar in a long hot summer, and The Unley’s re-developed rooftop is a great way to enjoy Christmas drinks while taking in sweeping views. A short trip from the CBD, the leafy Parkside establishment also offers a range of other spaces for groups of all sizes.

Pirie and Co

Chicken wings, burgers and small share plates are just a few of the laid-back dining options at Pirie and Co. With low leather sofas and a dance floor , the venue encourages both relaxed conversations and a d-floor move if the mood strikes.
Sarah’s Sisters Sustainable Cafe
117 Semaphore Rd, Semaphore
Beachy vibes, delicious vegetarian food… if you call the western beaches home, it’s hard to go past the much-loved local, which has been serving up fresh, seasonal, and local food since 1978. They have limited group bookings in the lead up to Christmas (and are closed on the day), so first in, best fed.
Ruby Red Flamingo
142 Tynte St, North Adelaide
“Food should be fun…” say the team at Ruby Red Flamingo in North Adelaide, and we couldn’t agree more. With an ever-changing menu of seasonal specials and drinks, the informal Italian space offers both private functions and a relaxed banquet menu booking for 10 or more. Just in case that didn’t convince you, one more word: tiramisu.

The good, the bad, and the festive. With three function spaces and special packages on offer, Spaghetti Western caters for groups of up to 70, serving up American Italian fare and great cocktails.
12 Franklin St, Adelaide
Public loves a good party, and will accomodate groups of all sizes, up to 100 seated. The menu is simple yet interesting, and all their pasta and pastry is made fresh on site. SOLD.
The Mile End
30 Henley Beach Rd, Mile End
The city-fringe gastropub is perfect for grabbing your work mates and having a chilled Christmas do. The only problem will be deciding what you’ll order rom their menu of traditional pub fare and seasonal restaurant meals using local SA produce.
75 – 79 Halifax St, Adelaide
Meze, souvlaki, moussaka, cream kataiffi served with Greek coffee… if your mouth is watering right now, may we suggest you investigate the group dining options at The Greek. With a special Christmas banquet menu for groups of 15+, the family-run Halifax St establishment is a warm, relaxed, delicious option.
92-94 King William Rd, Hyde Park
Modern Italian (with a twist), the menu is as thoughtful as the service at Hyde Park’s polished Assaggio Ristorante, and the wine list is pretty impressive too. Assaggio has plenty of awards to its name, including best Italian restaurant and chef of the year, and its sophisticated surrounds are perfect for group bookings.
Lost in a Forest
1203 Greenhill Rd, Uraidla
Looking for pizza? Also enjoy antipasto, loud music, and good times? Lost in a Forest, Uraidla’s buzzy wood-oven pizza restaurant, is now taking Christmas bookings for 15+ people, through to December 28. Lunch or dinner, $45 a head.
DINNER + DANCING
150 Glen Osmond Rd, Fullarton
The Ark transforms into a winter wonderland for a Christmas dinner and show this festive season, featuring live entertainment from The Incredibles Band, a three course dinner, and a three hour drinks package.
Adelaide Convention Centre
North Terrace, Adelaide
The iconic Convention centre is putting on all-inclusive Christmas events, bringing together up to 3000 guests each night. Highlights: a three course menu, full beverage package, gift giveaways and entertainment into the late hours.

Dinner and dancing (not necessarily in that order) are on offer at the annual Stamford Christmas Dinner Dances, featuring a four course menu. Dress code: dancing shoes and eating pants. They’re also hosting a range of festive smaller private dinners and cocktail parties over late November – December.

The front lawns on Ayers House will be buzzing with ‘Dancing on the Lawns’ again this year – an all inclusive outdoor event, with a local three course menu, SA wines and beers, a live band, and as the name suggests…dancing. Set against the backdrop of the iconic Ayers House in an open-air garden marquee, dance the night away under the stars.

Offering tailor-made packages, kangaroo feeding, wine tasting, and property tours, Woodstock is the perfect place for animal and wine lovers alike.
Wilkadene Woolshed Brewery

Set in the 100-year-old Wilkadene Station, once a thriving wheat and sheep station, this Riverland spot has been converted into a craft brewery on the banks of the Murray. With award winning ales, 100% Riverland ciders, local lemonade and wines, you’ll be sorted for drinks. While they don’t offer cooked meals, you can make your own platter from their on-site selection of local produce, or DIY picnic, or bust out the sangers on their BBQs.

With a brand new tasting room made with recycled materials, Longview serves up premium, estate grown wines matched with seasonal Italian fare, all just a hop outside of the historic township of Maccelsfield in the Adelaide Hills. Catering for groups of all sizes, it’s a rustic-chic locale to raise a glass.
