Globally-recognised leader in senior secondary schooling, the Australian Science and Mathematics School (ASMS), will host open nights on Thursday 23 May and Tuesday 28 May at 7PM.
Prospective students and their families will be able to talk with current students, their teachers and parents to learn more about the extraordinary learning opportunities offered at the school.
They will share their experiences of how students are supported to develop as self-directed learners whose curiosity is nurtured through the exemplary approaches to teaching and learning.
At the ASMS, teachers design interdisciplinary learning programs that enable students to engage with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented and virtual reality, robotics and coding, and biomechanics.
Students develop their capacity to use design thinking processes to address global issues and suggest solutions, to consider intercultural and ethical perspectives, be entrepreneurial in their thinking and to be collaborative in their approach to learning and working.
At the ASMS, mathematics, science, innovation and technology are cornerstones of the curriculum with every student is supported to complete a comprehensive curriculum meeting the requirements of the Australian Curriculum and SACE.
ASMS Principal Jayne Heath invites those who are curious about their world, want to be supported to follow their passion for science and/or mathematics, and are ready for the extraordinary, to attend the open nights and find out more.
